VIRGINIA'S PREMIER TRAVEL AND OUTDOOR SPORTS SHOW Bob Foulkrod Obsession Quest Over a five year period, one of the world's best known hunters, Bob Foulkrod, did what no other sportsman in history has ever attempted! During a harried 60 months of hunting, he accepted the challenge of the "Obsession Quest", the most ambitious undertaking ever by a hunter. The Obsession Quest was a 5-year quest that included taking all Safari Clubs 55 of big game animals listed for North America, the World Slam on Turkeys, and Africa's legendary Big Six. This was all done with a Browning Firearm with Winchester/Nosler ammo. Weather it be a Browning Shotgun, a 300 WSM, or the Browning 375 for the African Game. Depending on where Bob was hunting and what animal it was, depended on the Browning Firearm he used. And, as if this were not tough enough for any hunter to accomplish, Bob conducted every hunt before the unblinking eye of a television camera. Not only will each of these exciting hunts be televised nationally before millions of viewers, but also, at the conclusion of the Obsession Quest, these hunts are now being broken down into categories for subsequent video releases. Additionally, during the five years of the Obsession Quest, Bob is writing articles for major sporting publications on each hunt for every one of these animals, as he will also author a book about his unprecedented experience. Bob, while in his fourth year of his Obsession Quest, things couldn’t have been going better. Bob took over 15 species of animals that year alone. The following years hunts included a grizzly in Alaska, Roosevelt Elk, Osolated Turkey, Brocket Deer, White Lip Peccary in Mexico, Jaguar, Mt. Caribou, Barren Ground Caribou, Central Barren Caribou, Barren Ground Musk ox, not to mention another attempt at his Stone Sheep! Along with Bob Foulkrod’s Obsession Quest Hunts, he is still out there doing many bow and muzzleloader hunts each year. He took his son, Joshua to Alaska for a Black Bear Hunt after he returned home from Iraq, something we all looked forward to. Bob hunted Australia for Buffalo in June of 2006. Of course, all of his hunts will be filmed and many could be watched on Gore-Tex and Bass Pro Shops TV Shows on OLN and other channels. As if this is not remarkable enough, each of the animals taken by Bob during the Obsession Quest will be mounted, life size, for display by Bass Pro Shops in Pittsburg, PA, for all the world to see and enjoy. Bob feels that sharing the Obsession Quest is something he wants to give back to the sporting world for making it possible to even attempt such a hunting challenge.
